5 Brilliant Breakfast Places in Brighton

Oh how we love the varied breakfast places of Brighton…

Brighton is a location that has our heart… Maybe it’s the stunning architecture of buildings like the Grand Pavilion, the fresh sea air combined with wafts of vinegar and the smell of sweet waffles made on the pier or if it’s the plethora of cool bars, restaurants and clubs that line The Lanes – but something about Brighton keeps us coming back time and time again. So whether you’re visiting for the weekend or if you’re lucky enough to call this seaside town your home, here are a few of our favourite breakfast places in Brighton.

Six Brighton

At Six Brighton, the focus is on spectacular ingredients which make each dish pop with both flavour and colour. Ideal for any health-conscious foodies, you can look forward to a wholly wholesome breakfast experience at this joint on Western Road. Then, if you want to reverse all the goodness of your vegan breakfast why not add some bottomless prosecco to the mix?

Must-try dish: Brunch bowl with crab meat, smoked salmon, crayfish, mackerel, hash browns, mushrooms, purple potato, cherry tomatoes, avocado, organic baked beans and toasted sourdough.

The New Club

This is one of the best breakfast places in Brighton, with stunning seafront views from the dining room which is perched right in front of the skeleton of old West Pier. The menu is modelled on an authentic New York diner, so you can expect big portions, shakes and filthy burgers. Plus, enough gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian dishes to keep everyone happy!

Must-try dish: Baked Mexican eggs with sriracha, cheese, caramelised corn and pepper salsa, sour cream, spring onions and crispy corn tortillas. Add a side of their baked beans for a real treat.

Bill's Brighton

Bill’s is a bit of a Brighton breakfast institution. The team behind this popular eatery realise that there are two kinds of people in the world – those who like sweet things at breakfast time and those who do not. Choose from buttermilk pancakes piled high with all different kinds of treats on top or opt for streaky bacon and Cumberland sausages on top. The funky interior and decor is the cherry on the cake of this cool brekkie spot.

Must-try dish: Coconut porridge with berry compote and candied pistachios.

The Breakfast Club

With Miami Vice decor, The Breakfast Club guarantees a sunshiney breakfast experience no matter how grey the sky is. Incredibly friendly staff, a buzzing atmosphere and the fluffiest pancakes ever are but a few reasons to love The Breakfast Club Brighton.

Must-try dish: Salted caramel banoffee pancakes with banana, vanilla cream, salted caramel and hot chocolate sauce.

Il Bistro

For an authentic full English experience, Il Bistro Brighton on Market Street is your guy. This refined dining space is the perfect location for a hefty breakfast which will set you up for the day. And another reason we love Il Bistro’s brekkie? You can order a side of chips with your fry-up and wash it down with a Bloody Mary.

Must-try dish: The works with a fried free range egg, two rashers of grilled back bacon, mushrooms, tomato, sausages and farmhouse toast.
